It's now 1:00 or so and I just finished my U.S. History reading. Oh, I mean the chapter reading. I still have to go on to the primary source reading and then I can go to bed. Oh well. I guess that's the price you pay when you didn't do your homework all weekend until now. Not to mention you didn't read chapter 3 for last time so you had to spend 2 hours reading chapter 3 and then somehow slow down and take 3 hours to read chapter 4. Oh well, in my outrage at homework I'm listening to Limp Bizkit - Hot Dog. "If I say fuck two more times that's 46 fucks in this fucked up rhyme". How on earth do they let this stuff on the market? I don't get it. Oh well.
So yeah, I've decided I might make the news section database driven once I finish the image section. This way, you can search news entries, show just entries by Spork, Admin, or whoever else I eventually let update my site. I'd have to be sure to only give it to people who wouldn't abuse their rights (like the infamous FiEnD who'd probably post malicious (sp?) javascript code to hack all your computers, AND mine). There's more to my wanting to do this which I'll address now.
Anyone who knows me (which hopefully is everyone) can read my profile and see a link to thespork.com. Well, NavySEAL2B did some experimenting and in his genius he discovered the target="_self" property of the link tag which he put into his aim profile. This loads the link within the AIM window! All props again to NavySEAL2B. So yeah, this made me redo the news script slightly. Once I finisht the news archive portion of the script I'll impliment it. It's more text friendly and fixes a few things to make AIM like it more. So now that news script loads within my profile. Well I thought, cool. But what if I could make some sorta profile version of the news and keep thespork.com news section. So I figure if I make it all database driven I can make the link in my profile load a sort of journal in which I talk about what I did that day. Then that same page would load DIFFERENTLY when you went to thespork.com and it would be normal news updates like this one I'm writing now. If it doesn't make sense don't worry about it. You'll see the light one day.
Spork.
