Very big news for thespork.com. With recent advancements in server-side processing technologies, asp.net, the next generation asp, has finally hit version 1.0 stage. Which means it's semi-usable, and very friggen cool. With this advancement, I have decided that I will no longer develop any further for thespork.com under regular asp. From now on, my ventures will solely be in asp.net, and they will not be for thespork.com either. Instead, I'll be developing solely for beta.thespork.com.
This site will very slowly develop and soon become the new thespork.com. But this will take quite some time. I hope to have Spork 2.0 running by summer. Obviously, news updates, picture updates (if I ever can get any), and journal updates will continue here on Spork 1.0, but I will not develop new features. Hopefully, with enough motivation, I could have a working version up even earlier than summer. It's amazing how fast I remember making the original spork (obviously, it took a long time to get to where it is today, but the actual time spent coding is very small). So, with just a little free time and hopefully if Grant can get me a copy of Visual Studio.NET I can be on my way.
If you are willing to donate a copy of Visual Studio.NET, please let me know.
Spork.
