Alright, so the snow isn't as bad as the guys said it would be. Basically the best snow and stuff is from ten till three. We've been doing like nine till four or so. But I took a group lesson today, learned some tricks for jumping and doing rails and stuff like that. Tomorrow I'm taking a private lesson with one of my instructors from today and we're basically just going to demo snowboards the whole time and he's going to help me pick one out. Then I'll probably check out prices online and see if they're better than the 40%-50% off in the shops right now. Supposedly prices have really dropped since september 11 (I don't really understand why).
So yeah, I'm out here, taking pictures on the plane (I think some of them are going to be awesome!) and taking some of the deep contrasts of shadows and snow of the mountains during the ride over, and I realize that I didn't bring any extra film! Actually, the reason is because I didn't BUY any extra film Friday in photo class. I had every intention of doing so but I forgot. So all they sell is color film over here, and the only black and white I found was ISO 100 Ilford for 9 dollars. So, I haven't decided if I'm going to buy that or not or just do a roll of color. I may do both, but right now if I buy a snowboard my financial resources are going to be very small until I can get back to Best Buy this summer. Oh well, I'll figure something out.
