Well, it's now officially the day after christmas, and it's been a while since my last post. I am not going to make this a long one, cause i'm on my little brother's computer and his spacebar is crap i have to slam the thing every time i want a new word. So I hope everyone had a great christmas, and i hope everyone is going to have a wonderful new year. Just remember, folks, we're almost to 2004, which means one more year closer to the end of the world in 2012 according to the mayan calendar.

I thought that the Mayans predicted the end of the world in 2024. Beakman's World was always shady with its information however... Don't know why they were discussing the end of the world but I always have remembered them using that date.

no, 2012 ... but actually it's not necessarily the end of the world, but it's possible something critical to the astrology of the "heavens" if you will might happen on Decemeber 21st, 2012, which is accurately placed as the winter solstace that year ... basically they have this thing called the long count, and it's basically like 5000 years (and that's common, cause you'll see in movies (like fifth element for instance) cycles of 5000 years) and the end of that "cycle" if you will ends december 21st, 2012. It's like how a day is a cycle, morning, night, morning, night ... a year is a cycle, when the earth completes it's orbit around the sun, there's the luner month, etc. The mayan's "calendar" if you will ends Dec. 21, 2012 and that's the end of the "long count" cycle or what i think is called the "bahktun" or something like that ... anyway, I don't know enough about it or astrology or history or what not to say what's supposed happen then but people sometimes confuse it for the end of the world according to the mayans just cause their measurements have always been almost perfectly exact as far as astrological predictions, like for instance this dec 21st, 2012, not only the end of the long count cycle but a winter solstace. It's fascinating stuff.

yeah.... I've always in awe at how the ancient calenders had everything in the solar system fitting together in very eerie ways, even 5000 years in the future. As Spork said, very fascinating stuff.

On another note... Happy New Years to you all. May the the new year be better than the last, and may it bring everyone happiness as we gain another year under our belts. Peace to all, and may YHWH bless you all in the year to come. Peace.
