Tomorrow I leave for Indianapolis. I used to quote my older brother, I think it was, who in turn quoted somebody saying Indiana is the weirdest state ever. Well, at this point that story is not only so corrupted and hearsay it holds no validity, but it doesn't change the fact that hoosiers are a strange breed. However, I've come to the conclusion that Indianapolis isn't entirely bad. So, just like Louisville is a colony of Indiana according to this article, and even though I definitley argue that nobody in Louisville tries to claim ties to the South (in fact, I just went ahead and told people I was from the midwest when I went to school), and I in fact would argue that if we are indeed a colony of Indiana then we long ago seceded ... Indianapolis, too, is a seceded colony of the weird state of Indiana.
So tomorrow my travels take me to Marian College, where I'll be staying in a dorm for one night while I partake in plenty of leadership training Tuesday night and all day Wednesday. Following, I'll be transporting over to the Hyatt Regency Indianapolis and will be enjoying all of their luxuries until Sunday. Oh, and free high speed internet from what I've been told, though I dont' see this on their website.
Otherwise, I am now 4 for 5 on running these past days. I only lifted on day 2 of 2, i've been sore since (and still am). I need that muscle to rebuild. Hopefully i can force myself to run at the Hyatt.
I watched What a Girl Wants tonight. Well, most of it at least, i tuned in late. That movie was just stupid enough to keep me laughing. That, and who doesn't want to ravish Colin Firth or his daughter in this movie.
Joanna's Dad's restaurant was awesome! Yay Jo ... everybody go get good chinese food from 4th Street Live! (be sure to exclaim the exclamation on that one). I don't think my pocket book can afford to go back for quite some time ... but it's worth it if you've got the green!
Alright ... word to your mothers.

indy is AWESOME.
and indiana's not all bad. come to bloomington sometime, it's even cooler than indy.
no, john, you cannot put links in links. dork. on a related note, though, you should make those links launch in new windows.
And actually, I do kinda consider Louisville the south. That's mostly because i moved way south when we moved there, but as far as I'm concerned its south-east USA. And we came from the real midwest, as far as i'm concerned. Louisville is completely not midwest compared to places like wisconsin, minnesota, illinois and indiana. And I often see it grouped that way on national car things and stuff. Maryland, on the other hand, is below the mason dixon line but most definitely NOT south.
or something.

Alright, i'm in Indy at the Hyatt now. It's the first morning after my first night, and wow that bed was comfortable. I have a room all to myself this whole week!
Eli, what's in Bloomington? Is that where IU is?
Grant, yes, I realize. I actually just add those title tags for my amusement. And I might be able to pull off some sort of just Replace(post,"<a ","<a target="_top" ") command.
Yeah, I mean, I went from Chicago to Louisville, you went from a little further north in Wisconsin to Louisville. I'd say, though, that there are certainly southern aspects and southern areas of Louisville. But if you compare it to the rest of the state you immediately go so further extreme on the southern scale. Either way, I'm not the only one, that link I posted even said Louisville is a midwest city so ha! If it's on the internet it must be TRUE! heh. just kiddin'
either way, I still hate indiana because my parking was 20 a day if I vallet, and 11 if I do it myself.
bullshit.

a guy up at my school claimed that Indianoplis wasn't a city. He said it was too clean to be a part of the United States and belonged in Canada.
As far as Louisville being southern, I've always been proud to say I'm southern. Maybe it's becuase I've lived and hung out around the Valley Station and Fairdale sections of this town. Ain't nothing wrong with being southern. When I'm in Ohio I'm glad to say anything to seperate me from the Buckeyes.
