Verdict is still out on the phone call. I think it's awkward to call, because she probably wanted nothing to do with it ... but it's also rude not to call. So I'm going to sit on it for a few more.
However, for now, I've realized something. My summer has been completely unproductive, and nothing I'd hoped would happen has happened. I'd hoped I'd finish this Cool Shades website, face lift TheSpork.com, give purpose to TheSpork.NET, dish out BP Moto to my client, possibly collect his cash, start up my fraternity's website, begin work on Secret to Living, and maybe even sign something with the Louisville Country Club. There are probably others I'm forgetting.
Then I thought I'd run all summer, do the weight lifting thing, eat healthy, get in shape, while lazying about often enough to read lots of books and watch plenty of movies and work on plenty of websites.
So far, I've done plenty of lazying and hardly any of ANYTHING. Oh, I beat Metroid Prime, HA!
So, tonight, being that I've got half a pizza in me and it hasn't been nearly long enough to digest, out of all the options above, I've decided to do the one thing i did NOT plan on doing this summer right now, because I figured it would have been done a LONG time ago. UNPACK FROM COLLEGE.
That's right, unpack. I hadn't even loaded my PC up with all my music, I'd just been surviving off of a laptop with a few radiohead bootlegs and all the new indie downloads my brother has me get for him (which, I might say, are quite good ... I've gotten some Killers, The Bees, Unicorns, Fiery Furnaces, The Faint ... probably more).
I haven't even unpaked all my clothes. I've been surviving off of what was vital to remove from boxes in morning draped wet in a towel from the shower, and off those clothes left behind. Now i can say I've lived out of a cardboard box. Hehe.
We'll see how I shape up with things. Luckily, I'm awake right now, though I probably won't be for long. I have to go in early tomorrow to prepare for a meeting. What fun. I'm getting sick of my current project at work, it's time I finish up the damned thing.
Next week I go to Indianapolis for a conference. What good fun. I'll leave sometime Tuesday, and I imagine back that weekend? Though I actually don't think I've been paying attention to the that. All I know is party in Indie!
Now it's time for more unpacking. Ciao.
