Yup, apple can suck it. My iPod worked for a day. Maybe I should blame Best Buy. I probably should, actually, though I think if I can't find a better job around Evanston I'll be working Best Buy again after all this time only here in Evanston instead of Louisville. So maybe I shouldn't say suck it to best buy yet, even though they truly deserve it because they're going to hell for not having apple properly fix my ipod when they sent it to them.
On a lighter note, just got back from seeing Built To Spill ... fucking AWESOME. More later (if I get around to it)

Don't do it...that's like selling your soul to the RIAA!!

Wurd.
I left because they moved me out of D.I. and back to Media (which was only fun under Patrick Hanley, amazing fellow) and because some dickfuck (I'm pretty sure he used to work computers and was moved into media ... Jeremy maybe?) wouldn't give me four days (just four) for a trip to chicago because the new guys they hired to cover the slack in media were all going on 2-week long summer vacations. Okay, we really needed help in Media, so what do we do ... well, move Hanauer out of DI to come back to media to help their HORRIBLE numbers, and then we'll hire some new people who all want to take vacations the first two weeks they're there. Oh yeah, and my first day back he asked me to stock (or maybe farm). I basically (in a much more polite manor) told him to go fuck himself and that my transfer into media was contingent upon a role as sales rep only.
But in the end, I was like "fuck it, I'm going to Chicago, I already paid for the tickets." Of course, Piles was way cool about it, said he'd obviously sign off on the time for me, same thing was said by Mike Discern (though nobody liked him, he was nice to me cause I got him the numbers he wanted) but I was ready to leave anyway. It was a week before a new school year was starting, and I figured why be working my senior year when grades matter most for college.
So yeah, one more summer for a new store won't be total hell. I'll make my 8 bucks an hour and buy my dvd's and electronics at discount and by the time I'm sick of it I'll be starting a new quarter and will get to quit anyway. Though, I'm going to tell them (so they'll hire me) that I want to continue my employment AT LEAST through the christmas season.
Is Piles still working for BBY in NY? Think he'd call the store here for me and flat out tell them to hire me? Haha, I'm so lazy I don't really feel like bothering with the whole BBY interviewing process. Nor N.E.T. Although, enough HAS changed for me to justify going through it again (pretty sure they've finally gotten rid of STDL and SKUI in favor of Windows GUI versions).
Man, this comment is almost long enough to make post status, though, if it weren't so full of BBY jargon and highly directed at you, Brian, I'm going to just leave it here for you to read.

I don't know...I think 5 more minutes there would be hell. They couldn't pay me enough to do what they want me to do. Then again, Inventory would be a sweet gig for the discount.
Do I think Pyles would call for you? I can't imagine he wouldn't. If you talk to him tell him I said hello.

Eh, in the end, I don't know any of his contact information and I don't even know if he's still working for BBY. Either way, I'm just going to walk in and tell the GM my story and that I'd basically like to bypass as much of the interview process as possible. See if he goes for it.
